Double G Arena & Western Store is a privately owned facility providing top-notch accomodations for equine events and training since 1996. Our facility features over 200 permanent stalls, 1800 seat indoor arena, outdoor arena, western tack and apparel store, and concession booth. We have featured nationally known clinicians including John Lyons, Marlene McRae, Monty Roberts, Clinton Anderson, and Tommie Turvey. We have hosted events including the USTRC, Sharon Camarillo Eastern Classic, Junior and High School Rodeos, and Night of Amazing Horses Show. We strive to provide a facility for organizers to hold a worry-free, affordable, and relaxing event. We host many breed shows and speed shows which have included Quarter Horses, Paints, Pintos, Appaloosa, POA, Fjords, Saddlebreds, Buckskins, and Morabs.
Most events are FREE to the public and we welcome you to come and see all types of beautiful and inspiring horses. Our on-site western store has the latest in products and fashion for you and your horse. Tommie Turvey is a professional trainer and performer known around the world featuring his famous horses, Pokerjoe, Joker and Ace. When they are not performing, Double G is where they call home. Gary Schreiner has been the owner of Double G since its inception in 1995. He is proud of what he has built here and helps support the Illinois Jr and High School Rodeos, local charities and the horse industry with his generosity and vision to make Double G the best place for horse events and all your horse needs.
